Max has been involved in motor sport all his life. Besides karting he has raced in Sports 2000, Thundersaloons and a variety of MG competitions including a couple of seasons racing on prestigious tracks around Europe. Max has been general manager at two karting centres both indoor and outdoor plus other driver training activities and still owns & runs racewear.co.uk.
"I've been teaching young drivers at the Castle Combe kart track for over 20 years now, it seemed sensible to set something up to help those who want to progress from the 'indoor' style of karting to something quicker."
Max is an ARKS examiner at Combe Karting as well as a race director/senior instructor for their Junior and Senior 4-Stroke A&D championships.
Alex has been karting since the age of 8, and Max's race mechanic since even younger! He started his racing career in 4-stroke corporate karts and so he really understands the different approach needed. Alex also teaches the new karters at Combe Karting Junior Racing School, and is proving adept at turning new drivers into winners.
"I really enjoy helping others to learn about karting and it's a real buzz when my drivers start winning!"
Alex is currently racing Super 1 plus Senior TKM at Clay Pigeon Raceway and any other series his instructing commitments allow.
